Yaka Airdrop Step-By-Step GuideHow to qualify for the Sei Yaka token airdrop.

Step 1:  Go to the Yaka Finance app to get started:  app.yaka.finance

Step 2: Connect your Compass wallet to the Yaka Finance app.Connect your Compass Wallet to Yaka Finance app.

It’s always a good idea to use a wallet that is specifically for farming airdrop points.  In other words, best practice in crypto is to use a fresh wallet or burner wallet whenever you connect to new apps / websites.  Never connect a hot wallet that has anything of significant value such as NFTs or large sums of Sei (any crypto) to 3rd party sites that are new or unknown.  If you follow this as a general rule in Web3, you’ll stay safe and avoid ever getting the crypto assets in your wallet drained by a malicious app.  Having said that, the team behind the Yaka Finance project is well know and supported by the Sei community.  I’ve personally spent time farming airdrop points on the Yaka Finance testnet app and can confirm it’s 100% legit.

Step 3: Get $SEI testnet tokens via Faucet. Go to Faucet to get SEI testnet tokens.

Faucet is where you’ll acquire “test $SEI” to use on the Yaka Finance testnet app.  To get a small amount (5 tokens) of “play $SEI”, you’ll need to connect your Compass wallet to Faucet.  Click the “Connect Wallet” button at the top-right side of the screen. Connect your Compass wallet to Sei Faucet to get testnet tokens.

Once your wallet (Fin or Compass) is connect to Faucet, it will ask you to connect to your Discord account.  Make sure you’re logged into your Discord and then click the “Authorize” button to make the connection.Authorized your Discord account connection to Sei Faucet.

Next, you’ll see “Sei wallet address” and it will say, “Enter the destination Sei wallet address where you would like the tokens sent to”…  Open your Compass wallet and click “Receive”, copy your receive address, and paste it where it says “Enter and address”. Copy your Sei Compass wallet receive address in the Faucet receive field and click the Next button.

Finally, click the “Next” button which will prompt the following message; “Request atlantic-2 tokens – Add your faucet request to the queue.  Please allow us a moment to verify your eligibility and send your funds.  These testnet tokens will never be exchangeable for mainnet tokens in any way.”  Click “Request SEI to complete the process. Faucet Request SEI click the button.

You’ll see a message at the top-right that says, “Your funds have been sent!”.   You will receive 5 testnet SEI tokens. Your SEI Faucet tokens have been sent to your Compass wallet.

Step 4:  Now that you have some testnet $SEI, you’re ready to start swapping on the Yaka app and earn airdrop points!  To earn points, click on “Swap” and exchange one $SEI for $YAKA.  Your Compass wallet will open and click Confirm.  You can view the transaction on the seiscan explorer. View Faucet transaction on seiscan.

Now that you’ve done a swap, you’ll have accrued have 10 Yaka Finance airdrop points. Perform swaps on Yaka Finance app to earn airdrop points.

To check that, click on Airdrop and you’ll see your point total.  To earn more points, simply do more swaps of $YAKA and $SEI… It’s that simple!  You can also participate in the Yaka Liquidity Pools to earn additional airdrop points. View your accrued Yaka Finance airdrop points after making your first SEI to YAKA swap.

Yaka Finance on Sei has created a fantastic win-win situation with their Airdrop Achievement Milestones campaign.  Yaka receives a ton of testnet volume to ensure their DEX works well and active users receive points towards a future token airdrop!

Watch our video below to see an actual example of how to qualify for the Yaka Finance Airdrop…

Please Note:  For each request, Faucet provides 5 SEI testnet tokens.  When you make swaps or provide liquidity on Yaka Finance testnet, you’ll have to pay Sei network transaction fees.  Although the transaction fees are small (compared to other Layer 1 blockchains like Ethereum), you will eventually run out of testnet SEI as it will be used for gas.  Do not worry because every 24 hours you can go to Faucet and request more testnet SEI tokens.
