SuiNS is a decentralized naming system built on the Sui blockchain. Decentralized name service means that control and ownership of the platform is in the hands of its users, not a centralized group of people. Sui Name Service allows crypto users to:
- Secure their unique Web3 identity and build relationships with other .sui community owners
- Simplify cryptocurrency transactions by linking their Sui Wallet (changed to Slush Wallet)address to their SuiNS names (@stouy)
- Create a personalized Web3 presence enhancing opportunity for growth on social media
Why Mint a .sui Domain Name?
- Simplified Transactions: Replace long wallet addresses with user-friendly names like @stouy. For example, my default Sui wallet “Receive Address” is a long string of number and letters that looks like this: 0x639d293b2eac8c7faed306f6bf27dc7b0a0b8f58f08e6001b3681b3ff6b2d729. By minting Stouy.sui and linking my Sui wallet to that .sui name, my new receive address is simply: @stouy – Now it’s much easier to send $SUI assets to my Web3 wallet.
- Web3 Brand Protection: Secure your online identity in the growing Sui ecosystem when you mint a .sui name.
- Setting Yourself up for Future Success: If the Sui network is successful in bridging Web2 and Web3, owning a .sui domain name puts you way ahead of the game and in position for future rewards.

TradePort is the top Sui NFT marketplace and is where you’ll go to trade SuiNS domain names. If you put the time in, chances are good you’ll be able to snipe great .sui names for a small amount of $SUI on TradePort. During the 2020 – 2021 crypto bull run, we saw the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) secondary market go crazy in terms of sales volume. Desirable .eth domain names were consistently selling for thousands of dollars in $ETH. I’m not saying that will or will not happen with SuiNS but while it’s still early, it only makes sense to gain some exposure ahead of the next bull run.
